Message from Mom

I thought it is time that I sit down and write a quick note to all those who check the blog. Needless to say life hasn’t been easy. School days are great; I have lots to do, especially now that the end of the school year is near. It is the nights that are lonely. I need to get busy writing thank you notes, I have managed to write a few, but I haven’t found the exact wording to mass produce them.
I have managed to keep most of the plants alive; watering them is quite a chore. I thought I would bring some of them to school to put in the new library, but decided I couldn’t part with any. I’m constantly moving them so they can get their share of sunlight.
After school I have been keeping busy mowing the yard, pulling weeds from my wildflower patch, and spraying the multitude of dandelions in the yard. I managed to get the tiller started and tilled the garden last week. This week I planted a few tomatoes and onions. I need to get the melons planted but haven’t been to town to get any seed. I have planted some of the flowers around the pond, but haven’t brought the figurines up from the basement yet.
This Friday is the RSB Open House to show off their remodeling. Bill was in on the planning, and got to see the first phase of it completed. He so much looked forward to having his own office space. Danna and Kevin are coming down to go with me, and then we plan to go to the Lodge for supper.
A couple of weeks ago I met Andy in Mound City, Mo to pick up Ali and Zac to spend the weekend with me. We had a great time and plan to do that again. They came up Mother’s Day weekend to attend a retirement party for one of the English teacher’s at F.M. On Sunday we had lunch with Danna, Kevin and Nic in Omaha, Kirk had to work and couldn’t join us. After lunch Andy and his family took off for KC while Danna, Nic and I went shopping.
I’m sorry it has taken so long to write to all of you.

Carol
