The struggle is over

Hello all,

This afternoon at 4:30 PM my father passed away. His passage was peaceful. At my father's bedside was my mother, sister Nicole and myself. The family is gathering at mom's house tonight.

Say a prayer for my dad as he is welcomed into HEAVEN. He is in a better place now.

Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes, they came to mean a lot to my father.

Sincerely,

Andy, Danna and Nic

As I write this my heart is going out to all of your family. Even though you knew what the outcome would be, and you were working to be prepared for it, you weren't prepared. This is normal. It's much tougher than anyone realizes. But watching your Dad all these months has been a tremendous struggle, I know, but the best thing that anyone can say now is that Bill is healthy and in the arms of our Savior. Wow! And he's preparing a place and waiting for all of you now. He's with his Dad and other loved ones and having a joyious reunion. What I have admired about your family is that you were all there for each other through all of these difficult days, and I'm sure that you will all be there for each other now. There are some families that have to experience this without the love of other family members or without their faith. Faith will get you through this. Take good care of your Mom now, she will need the support. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. If I can be of any help, don't hesitate to call. Jo

After reading Jo's comment I have to say I AGREE! I know from experience that we are never ready for this even tho we know in our hearts that the person is much better off. My prayers continue to go out for you all. I want to say that you three children couldn't have been any better children to your mom and dad!! You have to be proud of yourselves as I know your mom is and your dad was!! I also know that with this kind of love and devotion to your family that everyone will recoup from this and continue to be there for each other. Give your mom a huge hug for me as I wish I could be there to do it myself. Thanks for putting this on the blog. Smile as I know your dad is smiling down on you! Verlee
